Couplet Contest Winner and Top 9 Finalists
Congratulations to Carin Mui, the winner of the Central Subway Couplet Contest. Opening in 2019, the new Central Subway Chinatown Plaza will feature a large couplet measuring 9 feet by 11 ½ inches high and 1 ½ inches wide outside the entrance of the station.

A $3 million grant awarded by the California Energy Commission will be used to renovate an existing mixed-use building in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood into a model of zero netenergy (ZNE) design.
