Since 1977, Chinatown Community Development Center and its predecessor organizations have been nationally acknowledged for their achievements:

2005
Affordable Housing Finance Magazine 2005 Readers' Choice Award for Best Seniors Project awarded to the International Hotel.  

2004
Chinatown CDC was one of two San Francisco organizations to be awarded a two-year grant of $200,000 from Bank of America to fund capacity building.

2003
Bay Guardian names our youth-led Chinatown Alleyway Tours "The Best Reason to Sidle down Chinatown Alleyways", which ran in their Best of the Bay edition.

2002
American Institute of Architects California Council Community Service Award.

Metro Transportation Commision Merit Award.

Chinatown Alleyway Tours named "Best Tour of Chinatown" by the SF Weekly in their Best of San Francisco issue.

2000
Metropolitan Life Foundation's Award for Excellence in Affordable Housing in the property and asset management category for the organization's management of Larkin Pine Senior Gordon Chin receives the Sustained Excellence Award for the Chinatown CDC from Mannie Mae Corporation. San Francisco Beautiful's 2000 Beautification Award in recognition of Chinatown CDC along with the Chinatown Alleyway Improvement Association's decades of neighborhood leadership in planning and securing funding for the Chinatown Alleyway Master Plan.

Fannie Mae Foundation's Sustained Excellence Award as one of the nation's top ten community development corporations.

The Pew Charitable Trusts' Neighborhood Preservation Initiative, Chinatown chosen as one of nine model working class neighborhoods.
