Community members advocating for the development of low-income housing in the Northeast Waterfront area of San Francisco sparked the development of the Wharf Plaza project. Chinatown CDC contributed funds from the City’s Community Development Block Grant to help overcome financing obstacles and has maintained a 1% limited partnership in the property. The tenant population now represents a diverse mix of elderly and disabled individuals and families.
