There are a number of ways you can help support our work areas and services that empower low-income residents and build healthy communities.

  Support Chinatown CDC and Shop for the Holidays at the Same Time. . . Enrolling in Chinatown CDC's eScrip program will allow you to shop at specific merchants with your registered credit cards to earn up to 10% of your purchases for CCDC.

The eScrip program is simple!  Just go to www.escrip.com and click on "sign-up."  It only takes a few minutes to register.  If you shop at participating retailers either through in-store purchases or online with your registered credit cards, CCDC will get donations back from your purchases.

Community Thrift Store in San Francisco

Do you have unwanted clothing, books, household items, jewelry, electronics and furniture in good condition?  Why not donate it to the Community Thrift Store in San Francisco to benefit Chinatown CDC? We will receive a percentage of the sales of the items you donate in our name.  The more you donate, the more proceeds we receive.  The Community Thrift Store is located at 625 Valencia Street, between 17th and 18th Streets.  The donation dock is on Sycamore Alley, around the corner from the store.  Make sure you designate Chinatown CDC, Charity #36, on your receipt.  Keep your receipt for your tax records.  What a great way to reduce the clutter in your house, receive a tax deduction and benefit CCDC at the same time!

Donate Your Vehicle and Receive a Tax Deduction

Do you have a car sitting in your garage or driveway collecting dust? You don't want to take time to sell it but you want to get rid of it. Donate it to Vehicles for Charity and benefit Chinatown CDC at the same time.  If you live in the immediate Bay Area, they will come and tow the car away and fill out the vehicle ownership transfer forms for you.  The cars are sold at regularly-scheduled live auctions or via the Internet.  You get a tax deduction for the amount that the car was sold and up to 70% of the funds generated by the sale go to Chinatown CDC.  Vehicles should be less than 20 years old, in working condition and salable.  Vehicles for Charity will also accept boats, RVs, trailers and trucks in salable condition.  Call us at (415) 984-1472 for more details.
