The 1150 Grant project is an example of a community partnership that has helped to secure affordable housing for individuals in our community. Wells Fargo donated this property to Chinatown CDC in 2005. A Wells Fargo Bank branch sits at the ground floor at the vibrant intersection of Broadway and Columbus Avenue with affordable housing above. Along with the building, Wells Fargo Bank also donated nearly $1.2M for seismic renovations. In addition to the seismic safety improvements, the property was outfitted with many improvements, including new roofing, windows, flooring, lighting, a redistributed electrical system, new appliances, new toilets, improved ventilation, new interior and exterior paint, and new cabinetry and countertops. All of these improvements help make 1150 Grant a vibrant environment for its inhabitants at this intersection in the heart of San Francisco.
